Day 1 -gestational diabetes

Today is my first day monitoring my blood sugars, and I have to say that it isn't too bad. I have to check them 4 times a day. That is 4 finger pricks per day! So far, my blood sugars (BS) have been perfect. I hope that they stay that way. I was trained on what and when to eat, and I think I am getting the hang of it. I have to eat almost every 2 hours. Let me just say that it is a lot of food! I just have to watch out for carbs and sweets. Not too bad. I couldn't have birthday cake tonight, but I was still full from dinner, so it was ok. Otherwise, everything else is going really good. Ethan is almost finished with the school year and he is absolutely the best kid ever, Ryan is awesome,the weather is great, and baby is just kicking away all of the time!
