Another one of those "2 years ago today" posts...

2 years ago today, we found out that our baby wasn't going to make it. I remember it like it was a month ago. I was feeding Ethan in the kitchen when all of a sudden, I felt like something was wrong and sure enough, something was wrong. I called my doctor and she knew (just like me) that the pregnancy would be over. We had a feeling a week earlier when my dates didn't match up with the ultra sound, but we were hoping for the best.

Thinking back to that day today while rubbing my big belly I can't help but be overcome with a bittersweet feeling. While I should have had a baby that November and that baby be 1 1/2 years old, I truly am blessed to have made it this far with this pregnancy. I love to be able to feel him/her all of the time. It just makes me smile and all of my worries go away.

I can't believe that I am almost 6 months along! It definitely is very surreal to know that if something were to happen and I had to deliver, the baby would have a 36% chance of survival. That goes up to 50% next week and so on!

Ethan is super crazy this week. I think it is spring fever or something. We have been going outside to parks pretty much every day, but he doesn't seem to be getting out all of his energy. He is super excited to meet the baby though. He keeps asking me when can he see the baby and how do the doctors get the baby out of mommy's tummy. He is just SO cute! But mommy needs her naps sometimes and when he doesn't want to take one, he tires me out! But of course, I still love him :-)
