Cookies, colds and tests

We had a very good weekend. It all started out Thursday and Friday nights when I decided to make these cookies for Meg (Ryan's Mom) for her surprise 50th birthday party we threw for her. I think they turned out pretty good. I got the recipe from Kelly's website (If anyone knows how to turn names into links to their blog, can you please help this computer illiterate girl? UPDATE, I actually just figured it out! Thanks anyway!), and they are awesome! I can post the recipe or lead you to her blog if interested until I find out how to link them. Then, I made pasta salad that turned out fantastic! I had never made it before, and I guess I am a natural :-)

Here are the cookies I decorated.

These are what my wonderful husband made. I told him to keep it simple, but does he listen...

Meg's party went well and she was very surprised! She got very teary eyed and was a little choked up to see all of her friends and family there. My FIL got her a trip to Vegas for a long weekend, and we gave her some money to gamble there. I hope she has fun!

My sister in law Kristin, and Mother in law Meg.

The dessert table. Ryan designed the cake. Sorry it is still in the box for this picture, we didn't want the kids to get into the cake.

My adorable niece Nora. She will be 2 in March. I can't wait to party with her!

And now onto something that didn't turn out so well...
I took a test on Saturday and again today. Both were negative. I am so distraught right now. It is becoming annoying. I will probably feel better later, but I can't stand knowing I probably am not pregnant. I can't even imagine or daydream to myself what that would feel like again... Maybe one day.

Oh, and to top it all off, I have the worst cold right now. I sneeze every 5 minutes and my head is so stuffy. I barely have a voice right now and sound like a engine. I hope it goes away very soon.

The only good sign right now is that my chart looks very good and my temp went back up today. The only thing I keep telling myself is that it was just too early. We'll see. I have a ton of symptoms, but with a negative test, they mean diddly! Wish me luck and prayers!

Heather - What awesome cookies! I'm so glad she was surprised! I totally want the recipe. I like my sugar cookies, but am always looking for better recipes!

I really hope it was too early to get a + test! I'm hoping your jump in temps means you aren't really 12 DPO. Test again in a few days. I will be anxiously waiting! hang in there!
