Genetic Counseling

I got a call late Wednesday night that the MRI was completely normal. I am a little bummed because I want to know NOW what is wrong.

I just got off the phone with my doctor and have a lot of thinking to do. She strongly reccommends that I see a genetic counselor to have both me and Ryan checked for abnormal genes. If one or both of us have it, we may struggle with MANY miscarriages before we have a live baby. One girl my doctor has, her name is Hannah, has this abnormal gene and had recently had 6 m/c and then a live baby, Noah, and just m/c again after him. She is getting her tubes tied and they are going to adopt. My doctor says that the results of these tests could be hard to swallow, but then we will know. So, we have a lot of thinking to do. Not to mention, the tests will be a little pricey.

Please pray for our family. We need to talk it out and decide what we are going to do. Hopefully before the end of the year so insurance will cover a little more.

I am glad that the MRI was normal so that you don't have to have surgery...but I pray that you are able to pin point what the issue is quickly and that its a really simple solution like you need to switch tooth paste or something...

Have you been blood tested for food allergies? That is a random thing that can actually mess with pregnancy and sustaining pregnancy.

No! How frustrating. I know the results of the MRI can be both a relief and frustrating. I know it would have been a simple solution to have surgery. Now you have to go through more testing.

I'm sorry! I hope the genetic testing gives you some answers for once! I know that you want answers, and soon.

I will be praying for you! Thinking about you lots!

I think about you daily and will be adding wisdom for you and your husband to my prayers. I hope that you get answers soon. I'm very glad the MRI was normal, even though it is frustrating for you. Hopefully the end of the road is in sight though. Hang in there!
